Whenever a new user registers on your JomSocial site, the privacy of his/her profile, friend lists and photos are governed by the "Default User Privacy".
By default, a fresh installation of JomSocial sets all users' privacy public. Thus, to override the default user privacy:
- Open "Configuration" from JomSocial's backend.
- Choose the "Privacy" tab.
- Under "Default User Privacy", change the settings as required.
- If you don't want to disturb any current/existing users' personal privacy settings, do not click the "Reset existing users privacy". Otherwise, feel free to click it and all current users and future new users will submit to the new default user privacy.
