Overview
Since version 2.2.x, JomSocial provides a built-in Akismet as its spam filtering service; however, you must register with Akismet to obtain the Akismet API Key. For further information regarding Akismet, please click here.
Setting Up
To enable Akismet:
- Once registered with Akismet, enter JomSocial's Backend, click Configuration.
- Once the Configuration page opens, select the Anti Spam tab.
- Under the Akismet section, choose Yes to Enable Akismet.
- Input the Akismet API Key obtained during registration on Akismet's site.
- Choose the specific filters that you want Akismet to use.
